Why Runners Benefit from Strength Training

Building on my experience of training runners of all abilities, I've now developed a new programme for improving running performance.

Strength training can significantly reduce injury risk by correcting muscle imbalances and improving muscle activation - particularly in the core which includes the glutes and hips.

It also increases the efficiency of running biomechanics which results in improved running performance!

Upper body strength training - which includes bodyweight, weights, bands and the suspension training - can improve arm drive and posture as well as core strength and stability. Having a strong and stable core allow us to increase the power output through are arms and legs.

If you'd like to know more about my new programme or book in a free taster session then please get in touch.
